How to configure SnaPatch
If you’re looking to streamline your patch management process, SnaPatch is the add-on for you. However, in order for it to function properly, there are several key settings you’ll need to configure. Let’s dive into the details.
SQL Server and Database Configuration
|Provide connection mode, server name or IP address, and database name. Credentials required to read from database.|
|Provide computer name or IP address, site code, and credentials with enough permissions to create collections, folders, update groups, and deploy updates.|
VMware vCenter / SCVMM
|Provide details of all vCenter and SCVMM servers, along with an account with enough permissions to take and delete snapshots.|
|Member of the domain and local administrators group on all target machines. May also be used to access Configuration Manager, vCenter, and SQL.|
|Provide address of email server configured for SMTP relay, port number, SSL settings, and credentials for SMTP connections. Configure up to two recipient addresses.|
