Your subscription, your region

Archives are written into an Azure Blob Storage account in your own subscription, in the region you choose. Residency and sovereignty are governed by your Azure configuration, not by a vendor hosting decision.

We hold no agency content

SmiKar operates the control plane as managed SaaS. The archived records themselves never sit in vendor-held storage, so your existing accreditation boundary continues to govern the data at rest.

Your controls still apply

Encryption, private endpoints, immutable blob policies, access review and lifecycle rules are the ones your team already runs in Azure. Archiving does not introduce a second, separate governance model to defend.

No exit penalty

Because the storage account is yours from day one, ending the relationship does not put your records behind a vendor paywall or trigger a bulk retrieval bill.
