How to configure SnaPatch

If you’re looking to streamline your patch management process, SnaPatch is the add-on for you. However, in order for it to function properly, there are several key settings you’ll need to configure. Let’s dive into the details.

SQL Server and Database Configuration
Provide connection mode, server name or IP address, and database name. Credentials required to read from database.
Configuration Manager
Provide computer name or IP address, site code, and credentials with enough permissions to create collections, folders, update groups, and deploy updates.
VMware vCenter / SCVMM
Provide details of all vCenter and SCVMM servers, along with an account with enough permissions to take and delete snapshots.
Service Account
Member of the domain and local administrators group on all target machines. May also be used to access Configuration Manager, vCenter, and SQL.
Email Notifications
Provide address of email server configured for SMTP relay, port number, SSL settings, and credentials for SMTP connections. Configure up to two recipient addresses.

By configuring these settings properly, you’ll be able to use SnaPatch to streamline your patch management process and keep your environment up to date with the latest security patches.
